Meet CASA Volunteer Perry!
Meet Perry Stone, a dedicated CASA volunteer!
Perry has a 36-year-old son and two stepsons in their 40s. Growing up in the Branson area, he has deep roots in the community, with three brothers nearby and a sister in Columbia, MO.
After a successful 40-year career in electronics manufacturing as a sales manager, Perry retired two years ago, opening up new opportunities for him to give back. When he’s not volunteering, he enjoys fishing, playing golf, and spending time in his yard and garden. A passionate sports fan, he cheers for the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou Tigers, Missouri State Bears, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Perry learned about CASA through an advertisement and from his son, who works for Abilities First. Intrigued by the mission, he decided to get involved, wanting to contribute after retirement by helping youth in need of support and guidance. Since taking on his case with Samuel, Perry has worked to show him that people care and that he will always be there to support him. He hopes to be a positive influence in Samuel’s life, imparting valuable lessons that can help shape his future.
Perry encourages anyone considering becoming a CASA volunteer to seriously think about the opportunity. “It’s critical we help kids who have no control over their situations,” he says. “Our input can make a serious difference in how they turn out. It’s a very rewarding experience that has become one of the most valuable uses of my time.”
Thank you, Perry, for your incredible dedication and for being a beacon of hope for youth in our community!
