Meet CASA Volunteer Michelle!
Meet Michelle Peak, a dedicated volunteer at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), whose commitment to helping children in need is truly commendable.
With 38 years of marriage and a career in Springfield Public School, Michelle understands the importance of community support in shaping young lives. Her interests in painting, reading, journaling, and hiking reflect her passion for both creativity and the outdoors.
Michelle’s journey with CASA began when she learned about the organization from a colleague who was already a volunteer. Inspired by the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, Michelle decided to get involved.
“I want to offer the opportunity of empowerment to others, be a child’s voice, and stand by them when they need to be heard,” Michelle explains.
Through her involvement with CASA, Michelle has formed meaningful connections with the families she serves. “By creating a bond with the family, I’ve learned a lot through my own trials,” she shares. “Everyone needs support in life, and I want others to know that they can count on me.”
For those considering becoming CASA volunteers, Michelle emphasizes the importance of selflessness and the opportunity for personal growth. “Don’t look at what’s in this for you,” she advises. “You will learn so much about the children and their families, and they will provide you with wonderful opportunities to learn and grow from their experiences.”
Michelle Peak’s dedication to being a voice for children in need is a shining example of the impact that individuals can make within their communities.
