Meet CASA Volunteer, Joy!
Joy Davis is a devoted mom to four grown children and a proud grandmother to five (almost six!) little ones—all five and under. Family is at the heart of Joy’s life, and she treasures watching her children grow and build families of their own. Professionally, Joy works at CoxHealth, where she runs the Medical Explorers program and supports student volunteers interested in the medical field.
After years of knowing about CASA, Joy finally found the right season to say “yes” when a schedule change—and a CASA table at church—lined up with a service focused on foster care. Sixteen months later, she’s incredibly thankful she took that step. Joy has had the privilege of walking alongside her CASA kids, advocating for them in school, and watching them make amazing progress—especially in their reading skills. She’s also grateful to support their foster mom, whom she describes as one of the children’s greatest blessings.
Joy encourages anyone considering CASA to take the leap: “It only takes one adult to make a difference in a child’s life—you can be that person.” 💙
